Andrew Hopgoods career began in commercial illustration using traditional mediums such as acrylic, gouache, watercolor and scraperboard then later transitioning to a digital platform.

He started painting in oil around 2017 and had his first solo debut at Tacit Galleries in Collingwood Victoria, March 2022.

There’s a narrative to his work that blurs the lines between reality and fantasy. His use of juxtaposition and metaphor emphasizes the plight of our endangered wildlifeand provides a forum for conversations about wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting endangered species.
